| Caption: | After Paris, we passed through Nice (France), Monaco, and Florence (Italy) (during which time I took no pictures), and then to Assisi (Italy). Assisi is a small town, and it's the hometown of the famed St. Francis, friend to the many creatures of the earth, great and small. This photo is of the road that led to our hostel. We were out amongst the farms and olive orchards. On the left in the distance is the basilica where St. Francis's remains are kept. |
